The role

 

We have a need for a Lease Administration Manager to join the Sydney retail team on a 12 month fixed term basis to manage the lease administration process from issuing a letter of offer through to execution and registration of the Lease. 

 

This role supports the Leasing department in setting up and finalising new and renewed leases as well as formalising assignments, surrenders, options and other legal documentation relating to our portfolio of retail assets. 

 

The role focuses on managing risk associated with our legal contracts (leases) and will guide both Leasing Executives and our external solicitors to deliver outcomes which are in GPT's best interests. 

 

What you will be doing

 

  • Preparing all lease related documentation including the issuing and receiving of letters of offer, disclosure statements, negotiation letters, tenancy selection committee sign off, confirmation letters to tenant, instructions to solicitors etc
  • Coordinate the execution and registration of leases between the parties in line with compliance and risk obligations 
  • Responding to lease negotiation requests (non-commercial terms) from external solicitors 
  • Maintaining reporting and auditing on document status and outstanding matters relating to the asset
  • Building strong, professional relationships with external parties including solicitors, tenants/retailers and the internal GPT team

 

What makes you stand out

 

You would ideally bring significant experience in a comparable lease administration. legal or a retail administration related role with the commercial acumen, drive and ambition for commercial property management to thrive in the role. 

 

Paralegal experience would be highly valued and excellent communication skills and intermediate level proficiency in the core Microsoft Office suite are key to your success. 

 

This role would suit a Lease Administration professional ready to gain further exposure in a fast paced and growing retail leasing environment.
