The role

 

We are currently seeking the services of a Centre Manager to be responsible for the overall management and direction of the celebrated Karrinyup Shopping Centre.

 

Reporting to the Centre General Manager, the Centre Manager ensures that the asset team drive performance for optimum customer visitation, growth in centre sales and investment return for GPT stakeholders

 

This role requires a dynamic leader who can drive the centre’s performance, enhance customer experience and foster strong relationships with tenants, stakeholders and the community.

 

What you will be doing

 

  • Coaching and fostering the asset team to deliver the vision for the centre and develop team members so they reach their full potential.
  • Maintaining ongoing relationships with all retailers, ensuring optimisation of their performance and resolution of any disputes (including debt).
  • Personally and through the greater team, initiate, establish and maintain strong relationships with retailers customers, local and regional authorities and community groups and manage complaint resolution and relevant impacts to stakeholders.
  • Contributing to the Leasing process to ensure delivery of the retail plan is in line with the Business Plan and enforce lease obligations when required.
  • Taking responsible for financial forecast preparation and review for all income and expenditure and the optimisation of income and prudent management of expenditure through monthly P&L reviews and management to targets
  • Reviewing and providing strategic input into CAPEX management and providing leadership and input over contractor management including tender reviews
  • Responsiblity for the safe operation of the centre including active participation in risk management committees, crisis management and emergency management as well as management of and participation in Duty Management roster

 

 

What makes you stand out

 

To be successful in this role, you will be tertiary qualified with a strong track record as a Centre Manager, delivering sustainable revenue and profit growth within shopping centre or a Retail Manager wanting to take the next step into Centre Management.

 

Experience developing and leading a high performing team is also required, as well as, outstanding interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.  Given the financial responsibility of this position, a high level of financial aptitude and commercial acumen coupled with the ability to manage long term sales and profit growth, are essential.

 

This role would suit a Centre Manager, with retail experience, who is customer focused and safety oriented and wishes to grow their career within a leading property management company.
