The role
Due to growth, we are seeking an Assistant Centre Manager to join the management team at the iconic Macquarie Centre.
Reporting to the Centre General Manager, this role is focused on the day to day operations of the centre, meeting asset objectives and delivering optimum investment return. This is achieved through maintaining and managing effective relationships with our retail tenants and community stakeholders, monitoring and analysing budgets to manage the asset’s financial performance and continually looking for ways to capture new income opportunities.
What you will be doing
- Maintaining an in depth understanding of the Centre’s KPIs including monthly and annual sales of retailers and any associated commodity group and precinct trends.
- Establishing relationships with retailers to understand market conditions, fluctuations in their business and ensure a proactive response to their needs.
- Managing the Retail Manager and Centre Administration Manager, providing leadership and guidance to ensure that activities are prioritised and diligently and efficiently completed.
- Maintaining current knowledge of competitor activity and developments and potential external impacts to the centre.
- Developing and implementing the Retail Engagement Strategy with the Retail and Administration Manager.
- Monitoring lease compliance and guide the Retail Managers where required in driving refurbishments that are due to ensure retailer onboarding process is seamless.
- Contributing to operational asset leasing process, ensuring the retail mix aligns to the short term strategy for the centre.
- Overseeing management of Critical Retailers and reviewing the debt report for presentation to Centre General Manager and Regional Portfolio Manager.
Manage and update Financial Reports for the monthly and quarterly asset plans. - Actively manage and communicate operational issues affecting retailer performance in conjunction with the Operations team as well as take a lead role in overseeing capital works projects that interface with retailers and customers.
- Assisting with, and from time to time managing, emergency evacuation procedures and other crisis management situations and participate in Duty Manager roster as required.

You will be an extremely well organised and self-motivated professional who has experience in commercial property management or facilities services.
You will have excellent attention to detail, coupled with an ability to manage multiple projects and tasks. Moreover, you will have exceptional communication and organisational skills and be able to liaise with senior stakeholders.
