The role
We are seeking a Retail Manager to join our team at Marrickville Metro. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day retail management of the Centre, building and maintaining strong relationships with tenants while driving the asset’s financial performance. You will monitor and analyse budgets, ensure lease compliance, and lead initiatives such as retailer engagement strategies and assignments, all with the goal of supporting a thriving and high-performing retail environment.
What you will be doing
Key Responsibilities:
The principal elements of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Analyse and report on monthly and annual retailer sales performance, providing insights and supporting financial reporting and business planning.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers and opinion leaders to understand market conditions, anticipate business fluctuations and respond proactively.
- Stay across competitor activity, industry developments and potential impacts to ensure informed decision-making.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Retailer Engagement Strategy alongside the wider Retail team.
- Monitor lease compliance, uphold retailer standards and proactively manage debtor situations to identify and address risks early.
- Support the operational leasing process to ensure the Centre’s retail mix aligns with the overall strategic vision.
- Play a key role within the Marrickville leadership team to deliver a safe and thriving retail environment.
- As part of the Asset Management team, participate in the Centre’s Duty Management roster, ensuring operational coverage and leadership presence across key times.
