The role

We are seeking an experienced Development Director to lead logistics developments in Victoria. This role involves implementing strategy, identifying and procuring opportunities, and overseeing projects from inception to completion. You will drive commercial success by building strong business cases, managing internal and external teams, and ensuring seamless project delivery.

 

What you will be doing

 

Business Development & Master Planning:

 

  • Identifying development opportunities in collaboration with senior management.
  • Assessing and reporting on internal and external future opportunities.
  • Engaging with external partners and presenting at Executive/Board meetings.
  • Developing business cases and commercial proposals for staged opportunities.
  • Creating masterplan strategies to optimise returns and minimise risks.
  • Addressing risks, barriers, and approval processes for project delivery.

 

Development Management:

 

  • Developing frameworks for economic, social, environmental, and risk management.
  • Leading project teams to optimise value creation through project delivery.
  • Overseeing procurement, contracts, and agreements with contractors and stakeholders.
  • Managing authority approvals, including DA submissions and negotiations.
  • Maximising returns, managing leasing, and securing commitments.
  • Overseeing project marketing, leasing, and sales processes.

 

What makes you stand out

 

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in the property industry, particularly within developments. You will hold relevant tertiary qualifications (preferably in Engineering or Construction) and possess strong Project Management qualifications. Valuation skills are desirable, while expertise in financial modelling and commercial assessment is essential.
