The role

 

Step into a key role at our Queen & Collins commercial asset. As the Manager you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of GPT Space&Co, ensuring operational excellence within their location. With a clear vision to establish GPT Space&Co as Australia’s leading provider of flexible workspaces and event spaces the Manager consistently elevates both the brand, and the member/guest experience each day.

This is accomplished through effective team communication, proactive facilities management, and engaging customer interactions and engagements.

 

What you will be doing

 

The principal tasks of the role include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Act as the primary brand ambassador and customer contact, delivering exceptional end-to-end service from enquiry to post-event follow-up.
  • Manage all meeting room and event bookings, including catering, setup/reset, bespoke requirements, and on-the-day execution.
  • Build strong member and guest relationships, resolve issues promptly, and curate high-impact engagement events that drive participation and ROI.
  • Support sales by promoting services, managing enquiries and tours, converting prospects, and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline to maximise occupancy.
  • Coordinate marketing initiatives with the GPT marketing team and maintain strong product and competitor knowledge.
  • Oversee venue operations including AV/tech troubleshooting, amenity management, contractor coordination, repairs, maintenance, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Ensure full compliance with work health & safety standards, privacy, safety, and security requirements across all locations.
  • Contribute to financial management through cost control, billing support, debt tracking, and adherence to procurement and expense policies.

 

What makes you stand out

 

You bring at least two years of customer service experience, demonstrating a strong customer-centric mindset and the ability to create positive, memorable interactions. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills allow you to engage confidently and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders. You’re able to manage multiple projects at once in a dynamic, customer-facing environment, staying organised and responsive under pressure. You also have solid, intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office—particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook—which supports your ability to work efficiently and deliver high-quality outcomes.
