The role

 

Due to growth, GPT now requires the services of a National Manager, Emergency Management, Security and Intelligence to lead efforts to strengthen security, intelligence and crisis management across both retail and office assets.

 

Reporting to the Head of Group Property Operations, the role focuses on improving operational resilience and reducing risk by enhancing security maturity and meeting our stakeholder expectations.

 

What you will be doing

 

  • Emergency, Crisis Management and Counter Terrorism Preparedness: Taking accountability for the ongoing development and delivery of our technologies, training programs and threat assessment tools and templates, including all response plan and procedures.
  • Essential Services Stakeholder Engagement: Being accountable for identifying and maintaining a register of key contacts for essential service providers and fostering those relationships in conjunction with our asset teams and service providers.
  • Security Policy and Procedures: Directing accountability for the development and implementation of GPT’s national security strategy, policy and procedures and ensuring procedures are embedded in our contracts to be monitored for compliance.
  • Security Training: Working with our contracted security providers to ensure all required training modules are fit for purpose, delivered and competency assessed.
  • Security Intelligence & Environment Monitoring: Working with Government Departments at federal and state level to understand local and global threats, developing and implementing core security strategies and action.
  • Security Reporting and Data Analysis: Working with our security providers to understand our local trends through data analytics and developing and implementing appropriate response plans to reduce risks to our assets.
  • Asset Support: Providing continued support to our assets on all security related matters including incident reviews and undertake asset audits to identify and address security vulnerabilities.

 

What makes you stand out

 

This senior role requires an individual with significant experience in leading security, intelligence or emergency response teams across national or multi site environments (ideally in Policing, Retail, Office or Critical Infrastructure sectors).

 

Your experience in developing, implementing and managing crisis response frameworks and background in mitigating and managing operational, reputational and physical security risks, will help you succeed in this function.

 

You are comfortable advising and building effective relationships with senior leadership, government agencies and external regulators, to meet compliance, mandate and ownership expectations.

 

This role will suit a security and emergency professional with a passion for uplifting this area through continuous enhancements to technology, process and policy.
