The role
We have an opportunity for a Senior Leasing Executive to support the Head of Leasing and the broader Asset Management team in attracting customers to vacant space across the GPT owned and managed portfolio, with the goal of maximising net property income and overall asset performance.
As a senior member of the Office team, this role works closely with Melbourne-based internal stakeholders to manage external leasing and customer adviser relationships, while providing guidance and market intelligence on proposed leasing transactions.
The position has a strong Melbourne focus, while also supporting the Head of Leasing on national leasing initiatives.

What you will be doing
- Lead leasing across the Melbourne portfolio to minimise vacancy and maximise returns
- Develop and execute leasing strategies (rents, incentives, refurbishments)
- Partner with internal teams, co-owners, and agents to drive asset performance
- Manage external agents, lead leasing discussions, and drive tenant strategy
- Negotiate leases, assess deal financials (DCF, capex), and ensure timely execution
- Maintain compliance, approvals, accurate documentation, and deal tracking
- Build strong relationships with agents, advisors, and target tenants
- Contribute to forecasting, market insights, and strategic planning
- Support leasing targets, reporting, and agent performance management
- Represent GPT in market, maintain stakeholder relationships, and track market trends
What makes you stand out
You bring at least eight years’ experience in commercial or retail property, along with a strong understanding of the office market. A tertiary qualification in property or a related discipline is desirable, as is experience managing, mentoring, or leading a small team. You demonstrate strong commercial acumen, with the ability to identify and pursue opportunities, alongside well-developed influencing and negotiation skills. You communicate effectively at all levels and build professional relationships with customers, stakeholders, and colleagues. You are highly organised, with strong time management skills, and are proficient in core Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
