The role

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Divisional Financial Controller, in our Logistics finance team.  This is a senior finance leadership role and a key business partner to the Logistics Management team. This role provides high-quality financial analysis, commercial insight, and strategic guidance to support the optimisation of current performance and future returns across the logistics portfolio. Acting as the 2IC to the Head of Finance, Logistics, the role includes people leadership responsibilities and works closely with owners and both internal and external stakeholders to drive strong financial outcomes.Bottom of Form

 

What you will be doing

  • Leading and developing a team of portfolio finance managers and analysts, driving capability uplift, succession planning, and attraction of top logistics finance talent.
  • Owning monthly financial performance monitoring and analysis across the logistics portfolio, delivering clear insights to the asset team and senior stakeholders.
  • Partnering closely with Asset, Investment and Funds Management teams, co-owners and external stakeholders to support portfolio performance, decision-making and ad hoc initiatives.
  • Leading end-to-end financial, management and statutory reporting, including business planning, fund and group reporting, capital and outgoings management, procurement and debtor oversight.
  • Contributing directly to CFO updates, investor reporting, and half-year and annual reporting cycles.
  • Overseeing tenant reporting, wash-ups, governance, audit and risk management processes.
  • Driving budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial modelling, including book value forecasts, planning timetables and presentations to co-owners for approval.
  • Providing technical accounting expertise, lead process and systems improvements, and support acquisition due diligence as required.

 

What makes you stand out

 

You bring significant senior accounting experience supported by relevant tertiary qualifications and CA or CPA membership. You have demonstrated leadership in high-performing, complex business environments and are an experienced people manager. You build strong relationships and communicate with clarity and impact, underpinned by excellent analytical, presentation and stakeholder-engagement skills. You combine strong commercial and business acumen with strategic thinking, attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy. You are adept at multitasking, planning and managing competing deadlines across teams and disciplines, and you bring relevant industry experience to the role.
