The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our Mandates team in a 6mth Fixed-term contract. You will be responsible for mandate accounting, reporting, and tax compliance, while supporting the Financial Controller, Mandates across month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes, including statutory financial statements and board reporting.
This role operates in a fast-paced, complex environment, delivering fund accounting services to a diverse investor base with varying reporting requirements and deadlines. The successful candidate will be a driven finance professional with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy, control, and governance.
What you will be doing
- Partnering with Fund Managers to provide end-to-end Financial Reporting support.
- Preparing and monitoring the mandate reporting timetable, balancing multiple deliverables, and competing investor requirements.
- Drafting accounting treatment memos for auditors and responding to external audit queries.
- Preparing statutory financial statements and ensuring timely delivery of reporting across mandates.
- Reviewing monthly financial reporting, including investor reporting, unit pricing, trial balance and consolidation entries.
- Preparing distribution calculations and reviewing management fee calculations.
- Reviewing quarterly statements of taxable income and annual tax returns.
- Reviewing monthly BAS workings.
- Leading special projects, ad hoc reporting, and process improvement initiatives, including documentation and standardisation of mandate processes.
What makes you stand out
You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent) and be CA or CPA qualified, with experience in professional services or a related accounting role. You will have a strong understanding of IFRS, with experience in SAP, Anaplan and/or HFM advantageous but not essential, and property and/or funds management sector experience highly valued. You are agile and responsive, able to manage changing investor requirements and shifting deadlines, prioritise effectively across multiple assignments, and work confidently with ambiguity while delivering high-quality outcomes. You bring a strong focus on governance, accuracy, and compliance, alongside clear and professional stakeholder communication skills. You will also demonstrate leadership capability, strong attention to detail, and the ability to step back and see the bigger picture.
