The role

Reporting to the Head of Finance Assets and Funds, this is a rare and exciting opportunity to step into a newly created leadership role and leave a lasting mark on how finance operates at GPT.
As Head of Enablement and Operations, Finance, you will be the architect and driving force behind GPT's brand new Enablement and Operations function, a centralised engine room designed to place AI and automation at the very core of how processes are delivered across at GPT.
This is your opportunity to build something from the ground up. With a broad and empowering mandate, you will shape the team, drive an automation strategy and set the benchmark for AI-driven finance across the organisation.

What you will be doing
- Partnering with the CFO Leadership Team to prioritise which processes transition into Financial Enablement and Operations for transformation and operation.
- Driving change across the organisation, securing stakeholder buy-in as the new operating model takes shape.
- Leading a high performing team, fostering a culture of innovation and AI-enabled ways of working across everything you do.
- Supporting to lead AI and automation across the business and the governance a versioned AI library that becomes a lasting and valuable asset.
- Continuously enhancing governance and controls and co-ordinating assurance processes.
- Enhancing the quality and integrity of outputs and shared data, whether delivered through the centralised team or through delivery partners.
- Partner closely with the Head of Technology to take a leading role on future systems strategy.
- Set and uphold documentation standards for the team.
What makes you stand out
You are an experienced and forward-thinking leader who brings a rare blend of technical expertise, operational discipline and a genuine enthusiasm for innovation and automation.
You have built and led high performing teams, navigated complex change and have a proven track record of driving AI and automation adoption within finance. You are equally comfortable engaging at the executive level as you are rolling up your sleeves to shape a new function from the ground up.
- A relevant degree (Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent)
- 10+ years of experience across senior leadership positions
- Demonstrated experience establishing or leading centralised operations, finance transformations or complex change initiatives
- A strong track record of driving AI and automation adoption within a finance function
- Solid controls and assurance background, including Compliance Plans and GS007/ASAE 3402
- Proven change leadership capability with the ability to secure buy-in and manage resistance effectively
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and team leadership skills
Systems experience across one or more of the following is desirable:
- SAP and/or Anaplan
- Workiva and/or HFM/Oracle
- Tableau
- AI and automation tools such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot or Power Automate
