The role

 

Are you a strategic finance leader with a passion for property and funds?

 

We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance, Assets and Funds to oversee our large and diverse, sector finance and funds team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape financial strategies, drive performance, and work in close collaboration with a broad range of business stakeholders including business unit executives, fund managers and investment managers.

 

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this key position is a significant people leadership role involving the development and management of a large sector finance and funds team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

 

This includes responsibility for the financial control of actual performance, budgets and forecasts, operational and capital expenditure, KPI measurement and tracking and the creation and delivery of development feasibilities.


What you will be doing

 

  • Mentoring, coaching and leading a large, diverse team ensuring the appropriate team structure and resources to deliver on team strategy and goals.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive strategic and operational plans and objectives.
  • Financial control over all aspects of the sector teams (currently retail, office, logistics and student accommodation), funds, mandates and partnerships.
  • Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to ensure alignment with organisational goals and regulatory requirements, including:
    • Annual budgets relating to revenue, expense, operational, development and leasing capital.
    • Production of monthly and quarterly forecasts, and monthly results for the assets and developments.
    • CEO, CFO and sector monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual reports.
  • Engaging with internal and external partners to drive business improvement, including risk reduction and efficiency improvements.

This exceptional role will suit a seasoned finance executive with a proven track record developing and leading large, high-performing teams, and driving operational efficiency.

 

It requires deep experience of property finance (asset and development), as well as expertise in funds and mandates, underpinned by a related CA or CPA qualification.

 

Highly commercial, you will be an excellent communicator with a strategic mindset who is able to consult with business stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and optimise financial outcomes.
