The role

 

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Group Finance to join the senior leadership team of our CFO business unit. Reporting directly to the CFO, this pivotal role will be responsible for defining and executing financial strategies aligned with our broader business objectives. You will play a key role in shaping financial control frameworks, optimising business services, and partnering with senior executives to drive sustainable financial growth.

 

What you will be doing

  • The development and implementation of a cohesive financial strategy aligned with GPT’s business goals.
  • Collaborating with the CEO, CIO (Chief Investment Officer), sector executives, and fund managers to ensure financial plans support operational and strategic objectives.
  • Leading the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and continuous forecasting alignment.
  • Delivering high-quality financial analysis and strategic insights to inform business decisions, investment proposals, and major initiatives.
  • Overseeing the preparation and review of half-year and full-year financial reports, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Engaging with internal and external auditors to support audit processes and reporting obligations.
  • Providing strategic direction to business services, including procurement optimisation, contract renewals, and shared services performance.
  • Implementing and maintaining strong governance frameworks to manage supplier risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to align operational spending with financial plans and forecast targets.
  • Leading and mentoring leaders across FP&A, Group Financial Control, and Business Services.
  • Setting team objectives, ensure appropriate structure and resources, and promote a high-performance, continuous improvement culture.

 

What makes you stand out

 

Ideally, you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (or a related field) and bring significant experience leading finance functions in complex organisations.

 

With a strong track record in financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and regulatory reporting, you will deliver high-quality analysis that drives strategic decisions.

 

You combine commercial acumen with exceptional communication skills, translating complex financial data into clear insights. Known for your integrity and professionalism, you build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including Executive leaders and auditors.
