The role
We have an exciting Leadership role within our Technology team at GPT.
This position is accountable for the reliable, secure and high-quality delivery of business-facing technology services across the group, as well as the partnering layer that connects Technology to the business. It is a senior service-management leadership role and the primary owner of IT service performance, experience and continual improvement, leading a multi-team function spanning service delivery, business partnering, commercial and portfolio, and a group of people-leaders.
At its core, the role is about shifting IT from a back-office utility to a trusted, value-adding partner that the business actively seeks out. It lifts the visibility, credibility and commercial alignment of the function, not through relationship-building alone, but from a strong foundation of operational excellence and deep service-management discipline.
What you will be doing
- Own end-to-end IT service delivery and the ITIL v4 service-management framework, including incident, problem, change, request and major-incident management, underpinned by a structured continual-service-improvement program that drives measurable gains in performance and user experience.
- Set, own and report against SLAs, XLAs and service KPIs, and own the service-management tooling, service catalogue and knowledge base, maturing self-service and automation to improve speed and quality.
- Lead the IT Business Partners to maintain trusted, senior relationships across business units, translating business strategy and operational need into a prioritised technology demand pipeline, with influence at executive level and in business-facing governance forums.
- Own budgets, contracts, licensing and vendor performance across the function, lead major managed-service and technology-partner relationships, and oversee the IT portfolio to ensure consistent governance and a clear, business-facing roadmap.
- Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary function of people-leaders, building capability, succession and a high-performance, business-first culture that lifts the visibility, credibility and commercial reputation of IT across the group.
What makes you stand out
You are an experienced technology leader with a strong track record in IT service management, business partnering and commercial oversight, and you bring the credibility and discipline to lead a high-performing, multi-team function.
- 12+ years in IT, including 7–8+ years in senior IT service management and service-delivery leadership, and 5+ years leading teams of people-leaders.
- Proven ownership of service performance across a comparable organisation, including SLAs, XLAs, major-incident and problem management, and a structured CSI program across multiple sites and a defined operating budget.
- Demonstrated senior business-partnering experience, shaping demand, running governance forums and influencing at executive level.
- Strong commercial and vendor management capability across budgets, contracts, licensing and major managed-service agreements, with clear value-for-money outcomes.
- Experience in property, real estate, funds or financial services is desirable.
