The role

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Technology to join the CFO senior leadership team at GPT. Reporting directly to the CFO, this pivotal role will be responsible for shaping and executing GPT’s technology strategy to enable business growth, resilience, and innovation. You will lead four critical streams — Products, Platforms, Technology Operations, and Infrastructure & Cyber Security — ensuring technology is a driver of efficiency, security, and competitive advantage.

As a trusted advisor to the CFO and Executive Leadership Team, you will play a central role in modernising systems, driving digital transformation, and embedding technology as a strategic enabler across the enterprise

What you will be doing

  • Developing and delivering a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with GPT’s long-term business objectives.
  • Partnering with the CFO and senior executives to prioritise technology investments that drive innovation, resilience, and efficiency.
  • Leading GPT’s digital transformation agenda, ensuring technology platforms and tools enhance customer and employee experiences.
  • Overseeing technology operations across products, platforms, infrastructure, and cyber security to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Championing the responsible adoption of AI, data, and automation to enable smarter, data-driven decision making.
  • Establishing and maintaining governance, compliance, and risk frameworks across all technology services.
  • Managing vendor relationships, budgets, and contracts to ensure cost-effective and value-driven outcomes.
  • Building, mentoring, and inspiring high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.

What makes you stand out

Ideally, you will bring at least 10 years of progressive experience in senior technology leadership roles within medium-to-large organisations (500+ employees), with a strong track record of leading digital transformation programs, ERP replacements, and other large-scale initiatives. Your broad expertise across infrastructure, platforms, products, and cyber security enables you to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.

Highly regarded for your exceptional communication and influencing skills, you build trusted relationships with senior executives and stakeholders alike. Skilled in change management, you have successfully led cultural and technological transformation in fast-paced environments, demonstrating both commercial acumen and hands-on experience managing budgets, vendor partnerships, and contract negotiations. Recognised as a resilient and adaptable leader, you inspire teams, foster collaboration, and attract top technology talent to deliver lasting impact.
