The role

Join us as our IT Portfolio Manager and take ownership of how technology investment is planned, prioritised and delivered across the organisation.

In this role, you'll serve as the central point of accountability for portfolio planning, demand management, prioritisation and reporting, bringing consistent governance, clear methodology and a business-facing roadmap that connects technology delivery to organisational strategy. You'll oversee resource and financial management, set delivery standards and foster a disciplined delivery culture that balances value, risk and return.

What you will be doing

  • Lead the IT portfolio end-to-end, applying consistent governance, prioritisation and stage-gate disciplines across operational and strategic projects, supported by forward portfolio planning and demand management.
  • Own a business-facing technology roadmap that aligns investment with strategy and communicates clearly to non-technical stakeholders, underpinned by a governance cadence that keeps decisions transparent, evidence-based and tied to business value.
  • Maintain a forward view of portfolio capacity versus demand to inform prioritisation and oversee resource allocation across delivery.
  • Manage portfolio and program financials in partnership with Finance, covering budgeting, forecasting, accruals and benefits tracking, with early escalation of variances.
  • Set and maintain the delivery methodology (agile, waterfall or hybrid), defining standards, templates and tooling, and own key portfolio reporting including the monthly IT management report.
