The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Portfolio Finance Manager – 12mth FTC to join the high performing Finance team at GPT.
Reporting to the Divisional Financial Controller, you will play a key role as the Portfolio Finance Manager—an integral member of the Asset Finance team who delivers high-quality financial and management reporting across a diverse portfolio of assets.
In this role, you will lead a team of property finance analysts and oversee financial reporting for a broad range of properties. You will provide high-value insights and partner closely with operational stakeholders to support the development and execution of their strategic and operational plans.
What you will be doing
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and developing a high-performing team through strong leadership, training, and guidance on financial processes, systems, and data management, while mentoring and coaching property finance analysts to achieve operational objectives.
- Overseeing and supporting the production of key financial deliverables, including:
- Monthly financial and management reporting, variance analysis, and review presentations
- Annual budgets, monthly and quarterly reforecasts, and long-term forecasts
- Half-year and full-year external reporting, including data packs, disclosures, debtor analysis, and ad-hoc requests
- Owner and portfolio budget and forecast presentations
- Long-term asset investment performance analysis
- Outgoings budgets and wash-up reconciliations
- Valuation data packs across the asset portfolio
- Identifying opportunities to improve process efficiency and reporting quality
- Supporting asset transactions through review, validation, analysis, due diligence inputs, sales contract inputs, settlement adjustments, and post-settlement activities
- Providing insights into expense-management initiatives, including trend identification and benchmarking
- Offering technical advice for complex lease negotiations, contracts, and other operational requirements
What makes you stand out
You bring a relevant tertiary qualification (such as a Bachelor of Commerce) and experience within the real estate sector, supported by proven team leadership and strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills. Your attention to detail, ability to use initiative, and capability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines are essential, along with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
CA/CPA qualifications are desirable, and experience with systems such as SAP, Anaplan, HFM/Oracle, and Tableau is highly regarded.
