The role
We are looking for a skilled Property Accountant to join our Finance team and support a diverse portfolio of assets. Working closely with the Financial Controller and Divisional Finance Manager, you will be responsible for month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, audit requests, and statutory compliance. What you will be doing
- Month-End Close: Preparing month-end workbooks, post accruals/prepayments, reconciling base rent and vacancy, completing balance sheet reconciliations, and updating management reports. Liaising with external managers and setting up review meetings with Asset teams.
- Half & Full Year-End Reporting: Preparing aged debtors reporting, processing bad debt write-offs, assisting with statutory disclosures, and providing audit support.
- Tenant Outgoings & Wash-Ups: Managing tenant outgoings calculations, preparing statements and analytical workbooks, and liaising with auditors as needed.
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Updating Anaplan models, preparing tenant outgoings forecasting, analysing variances, liaising with external managers, and assisting with asset review meetings.
- Valuations: Preparing valuation packs for Investment Management and assisting with investment property revaluations.
- Process Improvement & Ad Hoc Tasks: Identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements, assisting with ad hoc analysis, investigations, and system testing.
What makes you stand out
We are looking for a skilled finance or accounting professional who has either commenced or completed their CA/CPA qualifications. Ideally, you will have relevant experience in finance, with a strong preference for those with a background in the property sector.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage tight deadlines effectively. Strong stakeholder management experience is essential, as you will be building and maintaining relationships across the business. Proficiency in SAP and Anaplan is highly regarded, along with advanced Excel skills.
