This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute to strengthening our risk and compliance culture across investment, development, operational and corporate activities. You’ll support the design and monitoring of controls, coordinate risk and compliance reporting and help drive continuous improvement across GPT’s risk management, compliance and assurance frameworks.
What you will be doing
- Support the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of GPT’s risk management and compliance frameworks, policies and processes.
- Identify, assess and monitor key risks across the organisation, including operational, regulatory, cyber, privacy and emerging risks.
- Assist with the design and monitoring of controls and contribute to second-line assurance activities.
- Support the operation of GPT’s enterprise risk management system (Protecht) and promote effective risk management practices across the business.
- Coordinate compliance plan reviews, assist with internal and external audits and support regulatory reporting obligations.
- Monitor third-party service providers where key services are outsourced, including AML, registry, property management and technology services.
- Conduct reviews including complaints monitoring, incident reviews and investigations into potential compliance breaches.
- Support regulatory submissions and AFS licensing obligations where applicable.
- Contribute to clear and insightful reporting for senior leadership, the Board and relevant committees.
- Work collaboratively with teams across GPT to strengthen risk awareness and embed compliance considerations into day-to-day decision making.
What makes you stand out
- You bring 5–7 years’ experience in risk and compliance, ideally within financial services or a regulated environment.
- You have a strong understanding of risk management frameworks, compliance processes and regulatory obligations.
- You’re comfortable working with enterprise risk management systems (experience with Protecht is highly regarded).
- You have strong analytical skills, including experience using Excel or BI tools to develop risk reports and dashboards.
- You are highly organised and able to manage competing priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes.
- You communicate clearly and confidently and can build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.
- You bring a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail and commercial judgement.
- A qualification in law, business, commerce or a related discipline is advantageous but not essential.
