The role

 

As the Senior Development Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality financial analysis and reporting for retail development projects. Working closely with Development Managers, you will prepare and manage development feasibilities, overseeing project costs and revenue performance.

You will be responsible for producing financial information for funding submissions and delivering accurate periodic reporting, including month-end, forecasting, PCG, and year-end reporting. As a senior member of the team, you will provide guidance, quality assurance, and mentoring to other analysts, helping to build capability and maintain a high standard of work across the team.

 

This role plays a key part in supporting operational readiness and ongoing performance, contributing to the delivery of a high-quality, modern workplace that blends architectural character with operational excellence for customers and stakeholders.

What you will be doing

 

  • Managing development feasibilities in partnership with Development Managers, including capex, income, and expense forecasting
  • Forecasting development costs, incorporating actuals, commitments, and future spend
  • Preparing KPI tables and feasibility analysis for investment committee and funding papers, including internal and external benchmarking
  • Working with Development Managers to optimise feasibilities and improve project viability
  • Delivering all financial outputs for development projects, including PCG, forecasts, and funding submissions
  • Reviewing and analyse base case forecasts for existing centres
  • Preparing major tenant deal and development fee analysis
  • Completing tax depreciation schedules upon project completion
  • Building strong relationships with Development Managers, Directors, GMs, and Fund and Investment Managers
  • Collaborating with Corporate and Asset teams to achieve development outcomes
  • Driving continuous improvement across development finance systems and processes

 

What makes you stand out

 

You bring a strong background in retail development finance, with experience managing end-to-end project feasibilities across multiple developments. You hold relevant tertiary qualifications and are CA or CPA qualified. You combine strong analytical capability with excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and you have a solid understanding of investment analysis, key commercial drivers, and risk. You are an advanced Excel user and have experience working with SAP Fiori and Anaplan.
