The role

 

We are seeking a Senior Property Finance Analyst to join our team as an integral member of the Finance team, where you will be providing high quality financial and management reporting for a diverse portfolio of assets.

You will be part of a team that is at the core of all Asset Management finance activities for the portfolio and provides accurate, timely and meaningful information to assist in the management of the groups assets and to ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements.

Working closely with the Portfolio Finance Manager and providing coaching, development and support for more junior team members, the role encompasses all areas of reporting and analysis for your portfolio of assets.

 

What you will be doing

  • Preparing month-end workbooks, posting income, expense, capital accruals/prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Compiling monthly management reports with variance commentary, present to segment asset team
  • Liaising with external property managers and finance teams for management reporting and trial balance uploads
  • Assisting with statutory disclosures for related party transactions, capital commitments, aged debtors, and lease receivables
  • Preparing tenant budget statements and manage tenant outgoings wash-ups and accruals
  • Preparing tenant outgoings statements and audit review workbooks
  • Updating budgeting and forecasting models (Anaplan), including house view, leasing, expenses, capex, and income forecasts
  • Updating tenant outgoings forecast workbooks for Asset Management review
  • Assisting in preparing forecast and budget presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Preparing valuation packs and assist with posting investment property revaluations
  • Supporting team growth via coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback
  • Identifying training needs and implement development initiatives within the finance team
  • Assisting Portfolio Finance Manager in promoting a collaborative, high-performance culture

 

 

What makes you stand out

 

 

You will hold a relevant degree, such as a Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent, and demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement skills. An enthusiastic learner with a strong work ethic, excellent communication and analytical abilities. Your attention to detail, ensures accuracy, and shows initiative, with the capability to multitask, plan effectively, and manage tight deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential. A CA or CPA qualification is desirable, along with experience in systems such as SAP, Anaplan, HFM/Oracle, and Tableau
