The role
An exciting newly created senior opportunity is available to join GPT as a Senior Treasury Manager, playing a pivotal leadership role within our Treasury team. This role offers the opportunity to shape its scope and make a meaningful impact, influencing enterprise-wide financial strategy while contributing to the continued strength and resilience of GPT’s balance sheet.
Reporting to the Group Treasurer, you will lead the strategic direction of GPT’s funding and capital structure, drive initiatives that optimise liquidity, manage risk, and support long-term growth. You will partner closely with stakeholders across the business and build strong relationships with external financial institutions to deliver innovative, sustainable, and commercially sound treasury outcomes.
In this role, you will also provide thought leadership on capital management, contribute to strategic decision-making, and help shape best-in-class treasury practices that align with GPT’s broader business objectives.
What you will be doing
- Leading the planning and execution of funding strategies across GPT and its Funds
- Executing structured debt transactions (including development facilities)
- Leading negotiation of complex financing and ISDA documentation
- Driving credit rating strategy and managing relationships with rating agencies
- Monitoring market trends, regulatory changes and identifying funding opportunities
- Owning and evolving GPT’s sustainable debt and ESG funding strategy
- Managing key relationships with banks, investors and capital markets participants
- Mentoring and developing Treasury team members
What makes you stand out
You are a strategic and commercially minded treasury professional who is comfortable operating in a dynamic and evolving environment, with a strong understanding of financial markets and a passion for delivering innovative funding solutions.
With 7+ years’ experience in treasury, corporate banking or financial markets, you bring a proven track record in managing funding transactions, supported by expertise in loan and ISDA documentation and a solid understanding of capital structures and treasury risk management.
You are a confident communicator, experienced in engaging with senior stakeholders and external partners, and you demonstrate strong leadership capability, with the ability to mentor and develop others. A degree in finance, accounting or a related discipline is required.
