The role
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Treasury Officer to join GPT's Treasury team and play a key role in the effective delivery of treasury operations across the broader portfolio.
This role takes ownership of core back-office functions, including cash flow management, TMS administration, debt and payment processing, and shared services coordination, ensuring these activities are executed with accuracy, efficiency and strong operational discipline.
Beyond the day-to-day activities, the Senior Treasury Officer will be a proactive contributor to the team's continuous improvement agenda, supporting compliance activities and lending expertise to treasury projects that drive meaningful outcomes for the business.
What you will be doing
- Perform daily cash flow reconciliation across portfolios, maintain the cash flow sheet and prepare and distribute the daily settlement report, notifying stakeholders of significant payments, maturities and funding shortfalls.
- Confirm deal rate sets, process loan and derivative confirmations in the TMS and manage derivative lifecycle events, resets and position reconciliation.
- Generate and distribute debt notices to banking counterparties for loan draw, roll or repayment instructions and manage Commercial Paper settlement through Austraclear alongside periodic USD and CPI bond settlements.
- Collaborate with Shared Services to confirm and process owner payovers, payments and PO management, maintaining sufficient funds across all accounts and executing internal transfers to prevent overdrafts.
- Execute periodic payment obligations including invoice payments, monthly distributions, capital calls, intercompany monitoring, quarterly line fees and semi-annual dividends.
- Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and develop cash flow models for new portfolio establishments.
- Administer the TMS, including Bank Guarantee applications and rollovers, SSI documentation, Treasury inbox monitoring, corporate credit card administration and IDOL management.
- Perform account reconciliations and support audit and compliance certificate preparation.
- Contribute to treasury improvement projects, system enhancements and ad hoc initiatives across the broader team.
What makes you stand out
You bring proven experience in treasury operations, accounting or financial operations, with demonstrated exposure to back-office treasury functions. Your exceptional attention to detail, strong time management and ability to engage effectively with suppliers and stakeholders sets you apart, complemented by excellent written and verbal communication skills. You hold relevant tertiary qualifications, and experience with SAP or a Treasury Management System such as GTreasury would be advantageous, though not essential.
